Ryk loves Nagore.

Not too long ago, I announced here a contest in which, among all the ones who sent me a mail with “Missing you” on its subject and told me a story about themselves missing someone in their life, I would give out the original copy of the lyrics for “Missing you” signed by me.

I received a bunch of mails and read them all but there was one that deeply shocked me. A story about a girl whose life got literally obliterrated and got submerged in a huge depression. Against all odds, she managed to get over it and is finally smiling from her heart. Something that really impressed me.

I sent her a mail telling her that the price was hers and also asked her to take a pic with the paper and send it to me. Not only she accepted my request but she also dedicated these kind words to me.

OMG, who would have said that, after so long having my head trimmed, I would let my hair grow this long!! I am living in a moment of constant changes. I have gotten rid of all the people who only bring negativity to my life. My body’s changed, I have lost weight, gone thru rehab, changed my image, my hairstyle, my glasses.. I couldn’t remember when was the last time I got a minute to myself.. I almost didn’t know me!!! After all these years submerged in this huge depression I am finally shining light!!!

NEWS

I´m currently inthe process of writing scripts and working on the next video & single with Raúl Mata (Rewind Music Video). The song will be “Dirty Little Liar”. You have one minute of the song at your disposal in my youtube channel (www.youtube.com/raiktv) but I am sorry to inform you that we all will have to wait until September to watch  it and listen to it entirely. My birthday is due to take place next September the first so, since the song will be released around those dates, I can’t think of a better bday present than getting a #1 in the charts. Who’s down with me?? J thank you for your help and love in advance!.

There will be more surprises related to the video that I still cant reveal but I will say that I am super hyped about it because it´s the first time ever in my life in which I do some acting for a video with an Spanish tv actress that I admire a lot. We’ve been rehearsing a couple of days and it´s been loads of fun. I will be giving out more information about it soon. Don’t worry.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to stop here, say hi and, besides wishing you all a great summer, I wanted to let you know that, sooner than later, I will be having news to share with you all like, for instance, a video interview with the people from Cover Set due to the fact that I won, thanks to all of your votes, their Cover Set 2012's Artist of the year contest . (Thank you so much!!!)

I am going to do my best in order to make your effort and your wait worth and give you my best with every tiny peewee stuff I do.You know I put my heart in everything!

At least, this time..

I´ve always been a rather atypical singer. I only sing stuff if I mean it, if it makes sense for me and, most importantly, if my heart wants to sing it. I know it may sound cheesy but that´s the way I roll.

Due to several personal circumstances I wrote this song like years ago while going thru a hard moment in my life in order to try to cheer a girl and me up. I used to play it in my iPod everytime I felt like those problems started overwhelming me and I needed to get out of my reality for a while, walk throughout the streets of Madrid solely thinking of positive stuff not to lose my cool.

Thanks God, it helped me out.

Right now I´m going through another rough journey in my life, personal wise, and it´s so hard to handle that I decided to get back to this song and put an end to months of not doing anything but whining and complaining. It was about time that I decided to start over and here I am.

The songtitle in spanish is "Por esta vez" which stands for "At least, this time". I hope you like the song even if it´s in spanish. If anyone needs a translation, please contact me (ryk@rykspage.com) and let's see how we can do it.
